Second, you may store videos or any other files you sell. You can even send your buyers directly to the folder where you have stored their purchased files. Next, you can keep backups of your backups. If you delete a file, it’s not a problem. Dropbox maintains a copy of all deleted files for up to one month. All you have to do is log into your account and “undelete” the appropriate file. Your files will sync back into your folder on your computer. Lastly, and most conveniently, you can take everything with you. It doesn’t matter whether you are using these files on your computer or on your mobile phone, you’ll always have access to them even when you are offline.

With all of these benefits, it becomes obvious that using Dropbox is a good decision, but here are some tips which will help enhance your Dropbox use.

Sync your phone to your computer. If you are using your mobile phone to get access to your files, it is recommended that you sync your phone and computer. Dropbox allows multiple devices so you will always have access to your files no matter where you are.By installing Dropbox on all of your devices, syncing your devices every time you make any updates will help you have everything you need when you need it and where you need it.

Use Dropbox to organise your files. While it’s still common for businesses to share files through email, a large number of business emails are hard to sort, maintain and find. Dropbox has a better solution for categorising your businesses documents.By using Dropbox for business you have the ability to group files in whatever way makes the most sense for your project. Any folders created within this set of files will automatically sync to the devices of the people who have access to them. And because of Dropbox’s easy to navigate interface, finding individual and groups of documents is painstakingly simple. To avoid having to browse through each folder to track progress, the Dropbox Event’s tab allows you to easily keep track of any changes made to the folders within your account, which gives you, the business owner, a much clearer presentation of updates and changes made.

To delete or move folders, just tap the check mark icon (displayed next to the + icon) Then tap the folder you want to work with and choose either the Delete or Move buttons. If you tap on the Move button, you can make your folder a subfolder.

Set up a shared folder and invite everyone from your team. It’s great for distributing all-company info and maintaining folder structure across the entire team. And then create folders by department or project to ensure that sub folders are automatically shared with the people who need them most. You can still add people from other teams to folders individually if they need access. From the main Dropbox screen on your iPhone or iPad, tap the + icon and then tap the Create Folder button in order to create a new folder within your online, cloud-based account. By default, a Camera Uploads and Photos folder will be included within your account. However, to keep your files well organized, create a series of additional folders with easily identifiable names.

Don’t panic, use the “Undo” button. There are times when you might face problems about handling and managing of files. For example, there might be an instance when you accidently included an essential file in the batch of deleted documents. If it were to happen to other cloud storage, it might be a little difficult to get your precious file back. With Dropbox, however, retrieving your file is as easy as clicking the “Undo” button. Dropbox accounts retain a history of files added and deleted within 30 days. This means, you can retrieve crucial files, even if you have trashed it a week ago.

Protect your privacy using passcode lock. You can use Passcode Lock to prevent unauthorized people from picking up your mobile devices and accessing your Dropbox data. Once you do this, you’ll be prompted to manually enter your passcode each time you launch the app.

Set up the Passcode Lock feature by tapping the Settings icon within the app and then tap the Passcode Lock option. Create and enter a four-digit numeric passcode when promoted and then re-enter it for confirmation purposes. From the Passcode menu screen, you can then turn off the Passcode feature that’s now been activated or change your passcode.

By turning on the virtual switch that’s associated with the Require Immediately option, you will be promoted to re-enter your passcode each time you switch between the Dropbox app and another app, or you re-launch the app. By turning on the virtual switch associated with the Erase Data option, if someone fails to enter the correct passcode after 10 tries, all Dropbox-related data that’s stored on themobile device will be deleted automatically for security purposes.
